The Role: Senior Quality System Engineer

To support us in achieving our ambitious growth objectives, we are seeking a highly motivated Senior Quality System Engineer who can support on our journey to operational excellence. While Svante is early in its growth stage, this is an excellent opportunity for the right person to come in on the ground floor to ensure we optimize our strategies in making a real difference by developing an Integrated Quality System.
Reporting to Enterprise Quality, you will support the successful development, implementation and evolution of Svante's Quality Management System, ensuring it conforms to internal, customer, ISO, regulatory and legal requirements. The Senior Quality System Engineer role focuses on providing wide ranging support to the quality function, promoting and integrating quality into every aspect of our business. You will also be responsible for developing and implementing quality control systems corrective actions, solutions, improvements, and ensuring the workflows and processes comply to safety regulations You will apply the skills and experience to manage a strong quality infrastructure with a focus on continuous improvement initiatives that will support the business vision.
Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
- Key contributor to the development and implementation of Svante Quality Management System (QMS) which includes ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
- Create and maintain the QMS documentation including the quality manuals, policies quality systems procedures, standard operating procedures, process maps and related documents in accordance with ISO and other regulatory bodies requirements.
- Develop and implement best practice Quality strategy, policies, processes, and procedures to aid and improve operational performance.
- Manage the internal audit program and ensure all nonconformities raised from certification bodies, customers or against suppliers during audits are effectively corrected and inde-pendently verified.
- Manage the Corrective/Preventive Action System and develop innovative and practical solutions to complex and unique process problems and system improvement through the use of best practices.
- Closely monitor the performance of key quality indicators and initiate, deploy and implement plans or measures to meet the goal set.
- Through the collection and analysis of information, identify areas where there is the potential for improvement of quality or risk management to the benefit of stakeholders.
- Collaborate with departmental managers and personnel throughout the organization to ensure the established quality management system is functioning properly.
- Work collaboratively, negotiate, and engage with key stakeholders to facilitate delivery and compliance with the Quality strategy.
- Plan, manage and execute specific quality project deliverables attributable to scale-up capacities.
- Share ideas and improve operation, recommending, supporting, and implementing continuous improvements to optimize results and improve quality of delivery, in line with quality standards requirements.
- Perform on-site supplier visits for root cause analysis and verification of corrective actions of supplier quality issues, as and when required.
Key Qualifications:
- At least 8 years relevant experience in ISO programs implementation and maintenance.
- Demonstrated experience with business management system, conducting QMS related audits. ISO 9001 Lead Auditor Training accreditation desirable.
- Advanced knowledge of ISO standards building general business processes used in product engineering, manufacturing and construction environment.
- Excellent understanding of all aspects of Process Flow Mapping, Quality Tools and Lean principles.
- Exceptional interpersonal communication skills (verbal, presentation, written) and ability to facilitate collaborative decisions amongst stakeholders.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Strong desire to learn all areas of the business, advocacy and support Lean principles and sincere, passionate belief in Svante's values and business mission.
- Undergraduate degree in related field.
