LifeSciences BC Announces New Board of Directors Leadership - Nancy Harrison Appointed Chair

Vancouver, BC, October 13, 2017--(T-Net)--The Board of Directors of LifeSciences BC announced at their Annual General Meeting (AGM) that James P. Hatton Q.C. has stepped down as Chair.
Nancy Harrison has been appointed as Chair of the LifeSciences BC Board of Directors effective immediately.
Mr. Hatton served as Chair for two years and will remain on the Board of Directors.

Ms. Harrison is the former Co-founder and President of MSI Methylation Sciences, a private venture backed development company with a novel treatment of depression in a Phase II clinical trial. She was also a Partner and Senior Vice President of Ventures West Management Inc.
Nancy spent 13 years with Ventures West leading its life sciences practice in Canada and the U.S. She is one of the most experienced life sciences investors in the Canadian venture capital industry and was instrumental in Ventures West's involvement in the sector and with companies such as Angiotech Pharmaceuticals Inc., AnorMed Inc., Salmedix Inc. and Oncogenix Pharmaceuticals Inc. During her time with Ventures West, the firm grew from approximately $80 million to over $750 million. Nancy has a degree in Engineering from Queen's University and an MBA from McGill University.

The Chair also announced three new directors joining the LSBC Board of Directors: Mr. Scott Phillips, Founder & CEO of Starfish Medical, Dr. Pieter Cullis, Professor, Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, Faculty of Medicine, UBC and Mr. Ali Ardakani, Founder and Managing Director, Novateur Ventures Inc.
