Jessica Verhagen Departs as Hydra's CEO, Transition Underway

Delta, BC, April 11, 2024--(T-Net)--Hydra Energy, a Vancouver-based Hydrogen-as-a-Service™(HaaS™) company, announced that Jessica Verhagen resigned as the company's CEO to focus on her family and giving back to her community.
She has been Hydra's CEO since 2021 after starting as Chief Operations Officer in 2019.
The company said in a release that it has "benefitted from her steady hand leading Hydra from a start-up to one that's poised to scale with her over 20 years of experience at the cross-section of finance, policy, and cleantech".

Jessica will reportedly be staying on in an Investment Relations consulting role over the coming months.
As the company moves into a new phase Hydra says it has the opportunity to bring on a CEO with expertise in executing infrastructure projects, such as Hydra's upcoming one in Prince George that includes hydrogen production, the world's largest refuelling station, and nearly 90 return-to-base truck customers filling up at that station.
Hydra said it looks forward to building partnerships to replicate this successful template in the company's next stage of growth.

Hydra's co-founder, Chief Innovation Officer, and Board Member, Badr Abduljawad will handle CEO duties during the transition.
