Nominations Now Open for Foresight's BC Cleantech Awards

Burnaby, BC, January 22, 2024--(T-Net)--Do you know a cleantech climate champion who's leading the way to a net zero future in British Columbia?
Nominations are now open for Foresight Canada's fifth annual BC Cleantech Awards, recognizing the innovators, industry leaders, investors, academics, government officials, and community builders that are driving our province toward a sustainable future.
To celebrate these cleantech game-changers, an in-person event will be held in Vancouver on March 27, 2024, bringing the provincial cleantech community together to shine a light on those solving the world's most urgent climate challenges and accelerating cleantech innovation across a variety of categories.
AWARD CATEGORIES
Startup of the Year (Group)
An emerging cleantech venture actively growing and already creating impact in their field (suggested TRL 1-6).
Scaling Venture of the Year (Group)
A cleantech venture positioned to take a leadership role on the global innovation stage (suggested TRL 7-9).
Community Advocate of the Year (Individual)
A mentor offering invaluable guidance, advice, or support to cleantech entrepreneurs.
Ecosystem Supporter of the Year (Group)
An organization championing the growth and development of cleantech in BC through programs, ecosystem development, thought leadership, and community building.
Corporate Pioneer of the Year (Group)
A large organization or company adopting, championing, or leading sustainable practices in their industry.
Investor of the Year (Individual)
An angel investor or VC championing a net zero economy by investing in cleantech ventures.
Funder of the Year (Group)
An organization or individual offering capital support or funding to support cleantech ventures as they grow and scale.
Training Institution of the Year (Group)
An educational institution leading or championing research, programming, and upskilling that will enable a net zero future.
Educator of the Year (Individual)
A professor, academic leader, or post-secondary instructor taking an innovative approach to education for the climate economy.
Government Champion of the Year (Individual)
A local or provincial government official using policy, advocacy, or funding to move the province towards net zero.
Nominations will be open until February 20, 2024. If you know of a deserving candidate within the BC cleantech ecosystem, nominate them today. Self-nominations are also welcome.
