Bring your IT/IM business analysis experience to this key leadership role
The primary responsibilities of the Office of the Comptroller General (OGC) are stated in sections 8 and 9 of the Financial Administration Act but additional authority is granted by other sections. The OCG also has responsibilities in the Financial Information Act, the Unclaimed Property Act, the Auditor General Act, the Budget Transparency and Accountability Act, and the Balanced Budget and Ministerial Accountability Act.
Using standard business analysis tools and methodology, including the systems development life cycle, the Team Lead, Business Analysis delivers systems projects which are high risk, use significant resources, and are high profile in relation to the interests of government, external organizations and/or the public.
The Team Lead, Business Analysis, reports to a Senior Team Lead and will provide advice and direction for the products supported by the Corporate Financial System. This role will work closely with technical architects, provide direction and advice to product Business Analyst's, as well as managing work assignments for projects. The Team Lead provides expert advice to senior staff and acts as the lead for projects. Additionally, this position provides business analysis/consulting services and plan ongoing business and technology needs consistent with government and Ministry strategic plans, system standards, and interfacing requirements.
Job Requirements:
- Certificate or higher in computer science or related field. An equivalent combination of experience, education and/or training may be considered.
- Minimum five (5) years experience providing business analysis on complex/ high risk corporate IM/IT projects as well as communication with diverse stakeholders.
- Minimum three (3) years experience supporting a large corporate ERP application.
- Experience with change management processes and project management methodologies.
- Recent (within the last three (3) years) experience with business analysis methodologies, techniques and the application design and development life cycle.
- Experience with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio.
Preference may be given to applicants with:
- Three (3) years experience supporting the Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS).
- Certification in Project Management.
- Certification in Business Analysis.
- Experience with SQL language.
