Vancouver, BC, November 22, 2022--(T-Net)--Ionomr Innovations announced that it has received a 'Companies-to-Watch' award as part of the recent 2022 Deloitte Technology Fast 50 program.
Celebrating its 25th anniversary, the award, announced last week, recognizes emerging companies based on their revenue growth percentage.
Ionomr's CEO, Bill Haberlin, credits Ionomr's success with creating and commercializing a new generation of high-performing and environmentally friendly materials that are revolutionizing the hydrogen economy.
"Hydrogen has the potential to play a major role in the carbon-free energy future, but cost and performance constraints have hindered its progress," explains Haberlin. "Ionomr has created two families of ion-exchange membranes and polymers -- Aemion+® and Pemion® -- that provide a step-change improvement for green hydrogen production by electrolysis and the efficient use of hydrogen in fuel cells."
"Ionomr has accomplished what others have tried but failed to do for years. Our highly specialized polymers and membranes for electrochemistry applications are disruptive technologies that radically shift the capital equation for hydrogen electrolysis and fuel cell applications. Our materials achieve performance and durability thresholds that meet and exceed conventional counterparts, while also reducing or eliminating the expensive, environmentally damaging, and scale-limiting precious metals and fluorinated compounds of those conventional technologies," said Haberlin.
The Companies-to-Watch category is a ranking of Canadian technology companies with the potential to be future Technology Fast 50™ candidates by their revenue growth percentage over their last three years of operation. The winners of this year's companies to watch category must have a minimum of $50 thousand in 2019.
"Congratulations to this year's Companies-to-Watch winners," commented Anders McKenzie, partner and national leader for the Technology Fast 50 program at Deloitte Canada. "These companies have demonstrated promising growth trajectories and an exemplary ability to seize opportunities even in the face of a challenging economic context. This sets them apart as members of an emerging cohort of tech leaders in Canada. We look forward to keeping an eye on their progress in the months and years to come."
