Two new camera models have joined the Atlas™ family, featuring Sony's Pregius
IMX250 and IMX255 image sensors over 5GigE.

Richmond, BC, July 5, 2019--(T-Net)--LUCID Vision Labs, Inc., a designer and manufacturer of unique and innovative industrial vision cameras, have announced the serial production of two new Atlas models featuring the 5.0 MP and 8.9 MP Sony Pregius global shutter CMOS image sensors.

The award-winning Atlas camera is designed for applications requiring high bandwidth and high resolution in a compact size.

The new Atlas models feature the color and monochrome version of the 5.0 MP Sony IMX250 2/3" global shutter CMOS sensor with a resolution of 2448 x 2048 px running at 98 fps, and the 8.9 MP Sony IMX255 1.1" CMOS with a resolution of 4096 x 2160 px running at 58 fps. Atlas supports Power over Ethernet (PoE) that simplifies integration and reduces cost. Despite its compact 55 x 55 mm size, Atlas supports large format APS-C image sensors and operates over a wide ambient temperature range of -20°C to 55°C.

"The Atlas camera is capable of 600 MB per second data transfer rates offering 5 times more bandwidth than GigE cameras and works with standard CAT5e or CAT6 Ethernet cables up to 100 meters."

All LUCID cameras conform to the GigE Vision 2.0 and GenICam3 standards and are supported by LUCID's own Arena software development kit. The Arena SDK provides customers with easy access to the latest industry standards and software technology. The SDK supports Windows, Linux 64bit and Linux ARM operating systems, and C, C++, C# and Python programming languages.
