Lifesciences British Columbia Announces Life Sciences in BC Businesses 2018 Women of Influence List

Vancouver, BC, March 28, 2018--(T-Net)--The BC LifeSciences Association announced this week its 'Life Sciences in BC Businesses 2018 Women of Influence list'. The list celebrates top female influencers making an impact in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM):
Louise Turner - CEO, Innovation Boulevard, partnership between City of Surrey and SFU to help commercialize health technology; former president, Premier's Technology Council.
Norma Biln - Co-founder and CEO, Augurex Life Sciences Corp., Vancouver biotechnology company developing biomarker blood tests to help patients achieve better disease outcomes; director, New Ventures BC.
Joy Johnson - Vice-president, research and international, SFU; a leader of the SFU Innovates strategy, which aims to strengthen innovation and entrepreneurship at the university. Emcee at this year's 2018 LifeSciences BC Annual Awards Dinner, presented by FARRIS.
Veronique Lecault - Co-founder, AbCellera Biologics Inc., Vancouver developer of antibody discovery and immune profiling platform.
Lesley Esford - our own President, LifeSciences British Columbia, non-profit industry association in Vancouver; former industrial technology adviser to the National Research Council's Industrial Research Assistance Program (IRAP); member of Kauffman Fellows, a Silicon Valley-based international leadership program.
This is the fourth celebration of BC's Women of Influence published by BC Business of Women who contribute to a "brighter future for our province and inspire others to follow in their footsteps." The Province of British Columbia is home to many female innovators making an impact in STEM.

LifeSciences BC will celebrate these women and 2018's BC LifeSciences Award winning companies at their upcoming annual dinner on April 19, from 5:00 to 10:00 pm at the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver.
