Job Title: Project Manager - Project Controls

Overview:
This PM will work across a portfolio of projects with a focus upon project cost control and reporting including work scope changes, finance reports, scheduling support and budgets.
What you will be doing:
- Maintain and update project schedule on monthly basis.
- Project setup by developing WBS structure, cost codes, resource and expense loaded schedule.
- Convert project estimates (direct and indirect costs) into budget and loading it into the cost codes and the schedule.
- Develop service proposals and project plans.
- Provide assistance with respect to the overall management activities and liaison between client and internal team.
- Help Work Package Managers with development of work package agreements for their packages.
- Produce and maintain detailed engineering deliverables list for progress monitoring and client review.
- Perform other duties as required.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Economics or related discipline.
- Bachelor's degree Engineering, an asset.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) designation, preferred
Must have skills/experience:
- In-depth knowledge of Excel
- Able to interpret data - project costing analysis
- Experienced in writing reports
Assets:
- Knowledge of SAP
- Utilities experience (nice to have but not necessary)
- Sound knowledge of Project and Portfolio Management (PPM) solution
- Capable of finding solutions to various sort of issues related to management of project/portfolio data
- Planning and Scheduling (Critical Path Analysis, What If Scenario, etc)
- Cost Control Software Operation: SAP, Prism Project Manager, and RS Means CostWorks
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Project, Microsoft Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Access and Outlook, Adobe Photoshop and Acrobat Professional
Initial 2-year project assignment, extension highly likely based on work load and performance.
This role requires regular or occasional attendance at a our client's workplace(s) and as such will be subject to the company's Contractor Vaccination Policy. This policy requires all contractor resources to be fully vaccinated by January 10, 2022 or prior to the work assignment start date whichever date is later.
The resource will be required to work onsite in Edmonds office at least 3 days per week once covid worksite restrictions lift.
