We are on the hunt for a Program Manager for our Geointelligence team at our Richmond office.
As Program Manager of the Global Procedure Designer (GPD) program ("Program"), you will lead a diverse team of domain experts and software professionals dedicated to delivering updates to MDA's world-leading instrument flight procedure design system to multiple customers.
Responsibilities:
- Program leadership.
- Overall authority and responsibility for the Program.
- Delivery of contracted services meeting technical, budget and schedule requirements.
- Delivery of Program objectives, revenue, profitability, cashflow.
- Program governance.
- Customer relationships.
- Program risk and opportunity management
- Manage inputs to monthly program review package for Program portfolio. Conduct monthly Program review.
- Lead Program-related business development opportunities.
- Participate in Program change management processes.
- Manage Program-resourcing levels, in collaboration with Engineering and Talent Acquisition.
- Collaboration and communication with Engineering, Contracts, Quality and Finance departments, in support portfolio execution
- Establish a continuous improvement culture to improve tools, systems and business processes.
- Contribute to Geointelligence business planning (Annual Operating Plan, Strategic Growth Plan).
Experience & Skills:
- A University degree in Business, Engineering, Applied Science, Science, or other field from an accredited institution.
- 5+ years of related program management experience of complex system(s) with demonstrated commitment to success.
- Aviation background.
- Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, persuasive yet diplomatic.
- Excellent negotiation skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Positive, team-friendly attitude.
- Willingness to learn.
- Able to work under pressure to meet time critical deadlines.
- Able to work within a large organization and understand dependencies and stakeholder needs.
Assets:
- Project Management Certification (PMP) or working towards.
- Previous experience in aircraft navigation concepts and systems is not required-but a keen interest in learning about it is
- Willingness to travel.
