Together with the Engineering teams, Product Management team and the Sales and Marketing teams, the Junior Application Engineer will set the course for the product success and ensure a positive customer experience. The Junior Application Engineer will advise and support LUCID customers in all technical questions about LUCID products, understand specific customer requirements to help provide service-oriented examples and solutions, and will establish the important interface between our development, product management, sales and the customer.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Help customers with deep technical questions related to LUCID products
- Assist customers in troubleshooting their technical issues including product support, application support and 3rd party knowledge during product integration.
- Work with the Sales team to ensure the customer's experience is positive in all stages of the Sales process.
- Establish a point of technical contact with customers to enhance relationship which includes learning their usage scenario, taking requirements, translating to feature requests when necessary. Write examples for the customer's feature requests as needed to demonstrate how they were implemented.
- Coordinate with Engineering team to reproduce, diagnose and resolve technical issues.
- Verify upcoming software and firmware releases for feature updates and bug fixes, then follow up with customers accordingly.
- Work closely with Product Management and Product Marketing clarify product or customization requirement and product improvement.
- Issue RMAs for defective and failed product for repair, replacement, and return.
- Create and update product documentation on Tech Ref Manuals, App Notes based on customer use cases, Knowledge Base articles to explain common scenarios, etc.
Qualifications and Skills:
- A post-secondary degree or corresponding education/training with focus on electrical engineering, electronics, computer science, or similar
- C, C++, C# programming skills and with Visual Studio debugging techniques
- Familiar with Linux development environments
- Industry knowledge in the field of machine vision is an asset
- Sales affinity and experience in working with customers
- A precise, independent, systematic and solution-oriented approach is one of your personal strengths
- Solid MS Office skills
- Good team work ethic, outspoken with an ability to learn
- Fluent and professional English verbal and written communication skills
