British Columbia's Natural Resource Ministries (NRM) are the stewards of the Province's Crown land and natural resources which reflect the diverse values and interests of all British Columbians. In order to support the growth of the economy while providing effective environmental stewardship, the province's NRM must transform in order to advance the shared management of British Columbia's natural resources.
Natural Resource Information & Digital Services (NRIDS) partners with NRMs to drive the modernization and transformation of business practices for the NRM through continuous improvement projects, new technology options and operational information management/information technology (IM/IT). NRIDS is providing leadership for IM/IT planning, policy and business process solutions and is also the single authority for all information and technology across the NRM.
Reporting to the Director, the Team Lead is accountable for providing leadership to all aspects of digital product and agile development for NRM clients. The Agile Team Lead is relied upon, as an advocate for NRM business partnerships, ensures outcomes are aligned with clients' objectives and satisfies key financial and operational performance indicators. The Agile Team Lead works in close collaboration with senior business leaders and IMIT colleagues and leads multi-disciplinary teams of IMIT professionals.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Management, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or in a related field plus three (3) years of *related experience.
- Diploma in related field plus four (4) years of *related experience
- Certificate in related field plus five (5) years of *related experience
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
*Related experience must include some experience from each of the following to total up to the years of experience required:
- Leading the creation, improvement, and management of a wide variety of digital products and services for an organization of similar size and complexity.
- Managing relationships with a wide network of clients and internal/external partners.
- Managing budgets, contracts and expenditures ensuring compliance with fiscal parameters and the prudent use of financial resources.
- Supervising IM/IT professionals.
- Experience using modern agile product delivery practices to design, deliver and continuously improve high quality digital products and services.
Preference may be given to applicants with one or more of the following:
- Leading the design, enhancement and management of digital products and services for public sector clients.
- In User Experience (UX), Service Design, Scrum Mastery, Full Stack Development or DevOps.
- In a variety of Agile methodologies.
- In Agile coaching and/or mentoring teams and/or staff as well as business area clients.
- Experience leading change management initiatives across a large organization.
