The Information Services Division are technology leaders, planning and delivering successful solutions with information management and information technology (IM/IT) services to both the Ministry of Social Development and Poverty Reduction and the Ministry of Children and Family. The division also provides IM/IT resource planning, decision-making, project and issues management, security and privacy functions, and desktop support. Our guiding principle is to promote a service delivery culture that is respectful, fosters positive relationships, and promotes creative problem solving with all our staff and partners in the Social Sector.
Business Performance Branch provides management support and advice to ensure the social sector's IMIT governance program and committees function as effectively and efficiently as possible to enable the social sector Ministries to deliver on their strategic plans through the provision of IM/IT services and products.
The Branch meets its governance program objectives by ensuring that the quality of advice and information presented to the governance committees is of a high standard; that a full range of options is presented and analyzed in the decision-making process; and that decisions are consistent with the overall policy, fiscal, legislative and strategic priorities of the sector.
The Governance and Planning Analyst is a key position performing secretariat functions, including, research, analysis and reporting in support of a best practice approach to governance, and implements measurements and mechanisms to demonstrate the achievement of the program's mandate and ensure reliable program accountability. This role leads the development and ongoing prioritization of the social sector's IM/IT portfolio management process.

Job Requirements:
In order to be considered for this position, your application must clearly demonstrate how you meet the education and experience as outlined below:
- Degree, diploma, certification or equivalent in Business/Public administration or a related field OR a combination of education and experience.
- Experience in a senior administrative or program management role.
- Experience in developing briefing notes, business cases and presentations for Management and Executives.
- Experience with project management, strategic planning or business transformation.
- Experience dealing with highly confidential and sensitive issues.
Preference may be given to applicants with the following:
- One (1) or more years in any of the above experience requirements.
- Experience with project management, strategic planning or business transformation in a technology-dependent business area or information systems branch.
