Job Purpose

The Director of Quality will be responsible for all aspects of the segment. Including Power Electronics, Light Assembly, and Li-Ion Applications. Including Quality processes in New Product Development (APQP, NPI), developing and sustaining Supplier Quality relationships (deploying and enforcing Enersys Supplier Management Quality Program), and throughout Manufacturing employing industries best practices to assure World Class Quality and accountability.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

They are charged with implementing and modernization of the Quality Management Organization within the respective realm of responsibility, with a significant contribution to the overall quality improvement of EnerSys. The Director of Quality will lead a central expert team. The task of such a team is to develop a global supplier network to ensure the highest quality of suitable and sustainable materials support world-class manufacturing quality and best-in-class product development practices. The ideal candidate must be compatible with working in a global, matrixed organization. The main task for the new leader will be to build up and develop the team and to position themselves as trustworthy and valued contributors to the entire organization. They will also be measured by how she/he contributed to establishing and strengthening the Total Quality mindset in the organization.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have significant experience in all aspects of the supplier quality function and has proven that they are able to lead the related organization and processes. The ideal candidate will ideally come from Power Electronics, Contract Manufacturer, Aerospace OEM, Automotive OEM, and/or related industrial sectors and a career path with an engineering background. The ideal candidate has significant experience in leading global matrix organizations and a thorough operations or project management background. They have worked closely with Purchasing, Operations, and Engineering teams. They can present successful quality improvement programs and has in-depth knowledge of quality procedures like APQP, PPAP, Lean, 6 Sigma, and Industry 4.0. QFD, etc.).
