What could be better than having everyone in your team pushing in the same direction? Or the same thing happening across several teams? Our role as EMs is crucial in driving that ideal of "functioning as a whole." Building alignment allows you to scale your impact, avoid wasting time on the wrong things, get explicit buy-in from your stakeholders, and more.
We will explore what this means for engineering teams, common pitfalls, failed attempts, and actionable, practical insights to create alignment.
About the speaker:

Before joining Microsoft, Diego grew and led engineering teams at Sauce Labs, AWS, OLX, and Google, building large-scale distributed systems.
