We do this through funding, knowledge and ecosystem connectivity - making a difference in today's hypercompetitive global market for clean technologies. By taking a cross-Canada approach, in partnership with the best peers and experts, we are the global benchmark for sustainable development innovation programming.

As an independent federal foundation and flagship program, our funding of Canadian entrepreneurs has created jobs, growth and long-term prosperity for Canada. Since inception, SDTC has invested over $1.28 billion in 450 companies, creating 14,600 jobs. Our companies have reduced greenhouse gas emissions by an estimated 19.3 megatonnes annually, that is equivalent to taking almost 6 million cars off the roads every year.
