Vivonet Announces Appointment of Jim MacCallum as Chief Financial Officer

Vancouver, BC, September 2, 2010--(T-Net)--Vivonet Inc., a leader in secure web-based point of sale software for the North American restaurant industry, announced the appointment of Jim MacCallum as Chief Financial Officer.
Jim brings more than 15 years of financial expertise to Vivonet and a successful track record working with high growth technology companies. As the newest member of the Vivonet Executive team, Jim will provide leadership on business and financial strategies, financial reporting, treasury, taxation and administration.

Prior to joining Vivonet, Jim was Vice President of Finance for Absolute Software (TSE:ABT), a $200 million company specializing in technology and services for the management and security of mobile computers, netbooks, and smartphones. He has also held similar positions at Cisco Systems Inc. (NASDAQ:CSCO) as Controller, Global Customer Financial Services and at PMC-Sierra Inc. (NASDAQ:PMCS) as Controller of Operations. Jim has participated in initial public offerings, mergers and acquisitions, debt financings and has managed public company reporting.
Jim completed the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant with KPMG LLP in 1995 and earned his BA from the University of British Columbia.
Jim will be replacing Kevin Falk, who assumed the role of interim Chief Finance Officer in October 2008. Kevin has transitioned into the role of Chief Product Officer at Vivonet. This summer, Vivonet secured a landmark agreement with Sodexo, world leader in quality of daily life solutions. Vivonet is set to deploy its Halo Secure Web Based POS software into the majority of Sodexo's 6,000 North American client sites by 2015. As Chief Product Officer, Kevin, a co-founder of Vivonet, will have the opportunity to focus on product strategy, development and positioning of the Halo Secure Web Based POS product brand to restaurant and foodservice clients across North America.
