Mojio's open development platform and 3G+GPS device make any car a connected car
Vancouver, BC, August 12, 2015--(T-Net)--Mojio, a leading open platform for connecting cars, today announced the launch of Mojio Drive, an expanding marketplace of apps and services for nearly every car on the road today.
By plugging the Mojio device into their car's OBD port, drivers can now unlock their car's data and access an ever-growing suite of more than 20 connected car apps and services to enhance their driving experience.
App categories include vehicle maintenance and repairs, roadside assistance, auto insurance, safety and security and productivity.
“We know that drivers want their cars to be more like their smartphones. There are at least as many connected car use cases as there are app developers, and so an open platform for building apps is essential to giving people what they want,” said Jay Giraud, CEO, Mojio. “With more than 800 developers using Mojio's open platform creating apps and services that span the entire automotive market - from vehicle maintenance apps to data-driven auto insurance services - Mojio is at the forefront of the connected car economy enabling drivers to save hundreds of dollars per year.”
Whether it's empowering a new teen driver, a super mom or a road warrior, today's drivers are looking for safety, security and peace of mind for themselves, their family and their car - both on and off the road.
Thanks to partnerships with AT&T, TELUS & Deutsche Telekom, Mojio's cellular connectivity makes the services that everyday drivers depend on faster, seamless and more reliable.
