Vancouver, BC, March 27, 2014--(T-Net)--Today, at the ad:tech SF session The Next Ads Frontier: Smart Homes and Connected Cars, Kiip CEO and co-founder Brian Wong and Mojio CEO and co-founder Jay Giraud announced that their companies would be partnering to reward everyday driving moments in the connected car - the first partnership of its kind.
The partnership will integrate Kiip's technology into Mojio's iOS and Android apps. These mobile apps pair with Mojio's cloud-connected devices that plug into cars to unlock real-time vehicle information.
“Partnering with Kiip advances our mission to reinvent driving around your smartphone,” said Jay Giraud, CEO and co-founder of Mojio. “By adding value to the existing moments already occurring in the car, Kiip rewards enrich the custom driver experience we have designed. With Kiip and Mojio, driving is about to get more awesome.”
This is Kiip's first step into the connected car, enabling new types of ambient reward moments for its 500+ brand partners to participate in, such as meeting mileage goals and fuel efficiency. Drivers will be able to redeem rewards in the Mojio app.
“We are very excited to extend in-the-moment rewards to connected cars with Mojio,” said Brian Wong, CEO and co-founder of Kiip. “For instance, if you leave for work at 6 a.m. instead of the usual 7 a.m., a brand like Starbucks can jump in and reward you with a free coffee for getting up early. This ability to recognize daily driving habits creates a whole new set of inventory in our rewards network for brands to reach consumers directly in their cars.”
Kiip will be working with its brand partners to offer drivers moments-based rewards. Mojio will also contribute rewards through its app ecosystem in areas such as valet parking, location sharing and automated parking.
Mojio is shipping in Spring 2014.
