Denim on the Diamond is a community collaboration showcasing some of the Okanagan's best local businesses & artists. With the iconic Knox Mountain in the background, on September 1st, 2018 Kings Stadium will transform from a historic sporting venue to the birthplace of an epic day party! Bring your lawn chair or blanket, kick off your shoes and feel the grass between your toes while you and your friends enjoy an afternoon of local music, food & drink. This is gonna be a party you won't want to miss! PS - Don't forget to wear your denim...
Artists
A perfect hybrid of established artists and local up-and-comers including Kelowna's own CCMA Award Winner & Juno Nominee Chad Brownlee & CCMA Rising Star nominated artist Jojo Mason. These two know where the party's at! Denim on the Diamond will also host bright musical talents such as Devon Coyote who brings the timeless fusion of roots, rock, and blues; Tiger Moon's harmonious sounds, heartfelt melodies, and foot-stomping indie rhythms; the fun-loving, interactive storyteller Ben Klick brings his guitar-driven modern country sound fused with traditional roots; as well as the winner of the 100.7 New Country Radio/OK Corral talent search being held during the summer. We couldn't be more thrilled to have this diverse offering of sound & style to give you an unforgettable experience!
Food
Kelowna's food truck pioneer's Surfside California & Crasian, along with Kelowna's #1 independently owned pizza chain Dunnenzies, all your favourites in one place finally. Oh, and did we mention dessert? QB Gelato will be there and we bet you can't resist!
Drink
Nothing beats grabbing a cold one and getting a nice little afternoon glow on with your friends under the Okanagan sun. That's why we partnered with a local leader in the craft beer scene, of course, we're talking about BNA. If wine is your thing, we've got you covered - Kitsch is bringing their award-winning Riesling (we're hearing rumors of a Frose) complimented by Dirty Laundry's red red wine. If you're still searching for something to drink in the mid day's heat, BC Tree Fruits will feature a trio of crisp ciders. How do you like them apples? Oh, and by the way, Canoe Coffee has your back when you're looking for that late afternoon pick me up.
