Hi folks!
WANT TO SEE CODE & COFFEE IN RICHMOND?
Code & Coffee is partnering with Richmond Public Library to run a Code & Coffee Pop Up! Swing by to connect with devs in the Richmond tech community. Check out the library's new digital makerspace equipped with 3D printers, flatbed scanners, and equipment to digitize old records, VHS, and cassette tapes. Drink coffee and work on your side projects in the library's new creative flex space!
WANT TO HEAR A TALK ABOUT A THING?
Include #lattetopics in a tweet to @codecoffeeyvr with talk requests & talk ideas. We'll share it with the community and some speakers will hopefully pick them up! ??
SCHEDULE:
6:30pm: Drink coffee, eat timbits and mingle!
6:45pm: Short Talks:
Luis Ricardo Espinal (@lespinalrivera) - Plan like Batman (or The Joker)
How to get your idea ready for development, validation and even investors in one single page (Gotham Style).
Andrew Ou (@andrewou9) - The Best Experience is No Experience
All designers strive to design for the best possible user experience. While "best" is sometimes defined by "feeling positive", "pleasurable" or "meaningful", many have yet to see that no experience is the best experience.
Anna Wang (@AnnaWca) - Sense Soccer Tweets with Science
How the use of data science and Twitter Streaming API allowed us to view and analyze people's emotions towards the Portugal vs. France finals during the course of the game.
7:30pm: Work/discussion period (for technology passion projects)
8:30pm: Thank you everyone!
Our talks are quick 10-15 minute presentations. We welcome speaker submissions from developers of any experience level. We require that speaker topics fall within the technology realm (ie. this is not the place to pitch a business idea). If you would like to speak at a future event, please send us a message or talk to us at one of the events. Check out our speaker's package here: http://github.com/Code-and-Coffee-YVR/Speaker-Package
MUST HAVE: A positive attitude and zero tolerance for stereotypes. See our Code of Conduct.
