On March 6th, 2017, join us for the first official AO event in the much anticipated Okanagan Centre for Innovation where Mike Checkley, President of QHR Technologies will tell his story.
Powered by Accelerate Okanagan, Entrepreneurs Unplugged features an experienced entrepreneur who shares his/her startup experiences. Community members will have an opportunity to learn how a successful startup is created, as well as the chance to ask questions to the guest entrepreneur. This event is well attended by the Kelowna community and it's an excellent opportunity to network with members of the local entrepreneurial ecosystem.

Mike Checkley and QHR Technologies are great examples of of by-products of a thriving Okanagan tech sector.
Mike is an EMR (Electronic Medical Records) software Subject Matter Expert and one of the Co-Founders and Developers of QHR's flagship Accuro EMR which has grown to be Canada's leading EMR solution. Recognized as one of BC's and Canada's top employers, QHR has grown to be one of the larger tech employers in Kelowna, employing more than 200 workers.
Prior to his current position, Mike led the Product Management and Development areas and has been heavily engaged in all aspects of the EMR Division over his 10+ years at QHR. Mike also has experience working with and mentoring technology startups and is active in the Okanagan technology community.
